Plan Flandrau around the question you want to take into the planetarium
Showtimes, exhibits and ticket choices shape a visit to the University of Arizona science center.

A planetarium show can leave you with more questions than you brought in. That is a good reason to give a Flandrau visit a little structure: choose a show that interests your group, then leave room to connect its ideas with the science exhibits.
Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium is at 1601 East University Boulevard on the University of Arizona campus. Its current general schedule is Tuesday–Sunday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., with Monday and listed holiday closures. Individual showtimes need to be checked separately from the building's opening hours.
The published combination ticket includes a show and exhibits. At the time of checking, adult admission is $27 and children ages three–fifteen are $19; other eligibility categories have separate rates. Sales are by credit or debit card. Review current ticket details and campus parking before deciding on a departure time.
Give each person one question to carry into the visit, whether about scale, light or how scientists investigate distant objects. Afterward, compare what the presentation explained with what remains uncertain. Leaving time for that conversation makes the outing more than a sequence of screens, and offers a useful starting point for further reading at home.
